Installing Raspberry Pi OS
Raspberry Pi Imager is a quick and easy way to install Raspberry Pi OS and other operating systems onto a micro SD Card ready to use with your Raspberry Pi. Before starting the installation, you will need:
- Computer PC / Laptop
- Micro SD Card with a capacity of at least 16 GB
- SD Formatter Program
- Raspberry Pi Imager
How to install
- We will prepare the Micro SD Card by formatting it by downloading the SD Formatter program (download link https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter ) and installing it on the computer, then format the Micro SD Card using SD Formatter.
- Download Raspberry Pi Imager (link https://www.raspberrypi.com/software ) and install it.
- Select the OS by clicking on “CHOOSE OS”, there will be many OSs for us to choose from. We will select the basic OS by selecting Raspberry Pi OS (32bit).
- Select “CHOOSE STORAGE” which is our Micro SD Card that has been formatted.
- After that, we can press “WRITE”.
- The OS has been successfully installed and is ready to be installed on the Raspberry Pi board.
